MBABANE – The Ministry of Labour and Social Security has announced that 15 scholarships are now available for Emaswati students interested in pursuing undergraduate studies in Morocco for the 2025–2026 academic year.
The scholarships are offered through the Moroccan International Cooperation Agency (AMCI), under the Kingdom of Morocco’s Academic Cooperation Programme with the Government of Eswatini. This opportunity aims to empower young Emaswati with international education and broaden their academic and career prospects.
Five of the scholarships are fully funded by Al Akhawayn University, a prestigious English-speaking institution in Morocco. To qualify for these, students must have achieved at least 95% in their most recent high school results. The remaining ten scholarships will be offered by Moroccan public universities and vocational training centres.
Applicants must be between the ages of 19 and 23, and should have completed their high school education in 2024. Selection will be based on the institution’s requirements, available space, the student’s academic performance, and chosen field of study.
While most Moroccan institutions use French as the primary language of instruction, successful candidates will undergo a one-year French language training programme at the International Language Centre in Rabat. Only students who pass the language exams will proceed with their academic programmes.
The scholarship package includes: A monthly stipend of 1,750 Moroccan Dirhams (about USD 175), paid every two months, A one-way plane ticket to Morocco at the start of the programme and a return ticket after completion and Health insurance coverage.However, it does not cover enrolment fees, local transport, boarding, or other personal academic expenses, which will remain the student’s responsibility.
Interested applicants must complete the online application form available at https://tinyurl.com/moroccoapplication2025 and submit the required documents, including certified copies of their school results, ID, passport, police clearance, medical certificate, and a passport-sized photo.
Applications should be submitted to the Scholarship Office, ground floor, Old Income Tax Building (Etolishini) in Mbabane by 28 July 2025. Incomplete applications will not be considered.
