MBABANE– Eswatini make-up artist Zamo Dlamini is celebrating a major career milestone after being crowned Make-Up Artist of the Year at the Basadi in Music Awards.
Dlamini, who was interviewed by Yano Lyrics shortly after her victory, described the win as an exciting and deeply meaningful moment, particularly because it marks her first-ever make-up award decided through public voting.
“I feel excited. Firstly, this is my first ever make-up award that I was voted for, rather, and God is good, man,” she said.
The emotional victory has added another memorable chapter to Dlamini’s journey in the beauty industry, where her creativity and work have continued to earn recognition.
For Dlamini, the award was not only a personal achievement but also a reflection of faith, hard work and the support of those around her. She shared Philippians 4:13, signalling the spiritual significance she attaches to the accomplishment.
