NHLANGANO– Nsingizini Hotspurs FC will look to continue their impressive MTN Premier League of Eswatini campaign when they face Royal Leopard FC tomorrow at King Sobhuza II Memorial Stadium, with kickoff scheduled for 1500hrs.
The encounter comes after Hotspurs secured a hard-fought 1-0 victory over Rangers FC in the Shiselweni derby, a result that boosted confidence within the squad as the team pushes to maintain momentum heading into the closing stages of the season. Supporters are expected to turn out in numbers for the clash as two of Eswatini’s recognised football clubs prepare for another competitive league encounter in what promises to be an entertaining afternoon of football.
Speaking ahead of the match during a radio interview on EBIS 1, Nsingizini Hotspurs Public Relations Officer Mnotfo Nkosie praised the team’s recent performances and expressed confidence in the squad’s determination going into the fixture. “The team played very well in the Shiselweni derby against Rangers FC, it was a difficult match, but the players showed character and discipline to secure the victory,” said Nkosie.
He added that the club remains focused on finishing the season strongly despite the challenges faced throughout the campaign. “We still have important games ahead of us, and the players understand the responsibility of representing this club. The focus now is to continue fighting for positive results and make our supporters proud,” he added.
Midfielder Thubelihle Mavuso also reflected on the team’s journey this season, highlighting the adjustments players had to make under a new technical setup.“Pre-season was not easy because we had a new coach with different methods and techniques. At first it was difficult for us to adapt, and there were moments where results did not go our way, but with time we understood the system and trusted the process,” said Mavuso.
The midfielder credited teamwork, commitment, and discipline for the club’s improvement during the campaign. “As players, we remained united and continued working hard. After adapting to the coach’s philosophy, we became stronger and more confident as a team,” he added.
Football analysts believe Nsingizini Hotspurs’ recent consistency has been one of the key factors behind their strong performances this season, with the club emerging as one of the competitive sides in the MTN Premier League of Eswatini. Tomorrow’s fixture against Royal Leopard is expected to test both teams as they continue battling for crucial points in the country’s top-flight league competition.
