MBABANE – Renowned media personality and musician Phila Koshin has released his latest single, “Vuka,” featuring longtime friend and collaborator ZolazeeLovin. The track carries a message of resilience, determination, and faith, aimed at inspiring listeners to rise above obstacles and seize new opportunities.
In an interview, Phila explained that the song reflects his personal philosophy of motivation and action. He said he could have opted for a love song but chose instead a track that best represents his beliefs. “I am a person who likes to inspire people to do better, do good. Wake up, get it, stop complaining. That’s how ‘Vuka’ came about,” he said.
Phila revealed that the song’s concept emerged from a casual studio conversation. Initially, he considered creating a love song, but ZolazeeLovin suggested a different direction. “Even in the studio, when I wanted to do a love song, Zola said she’s tired of hearing love songs now, and we worked on it. That’s how ‘Vuka’ was created,” he shared.
The collaboration was a natural fit due to the pair’s longstanding friendship and professional history. Phila explained that ZolazeeLovin had always admired his musical approach during their time together at Gagasi FM, and the opportunity to work together was long-awaited. “Zola has been a friend for a very long time. She always loved the way I worked, and that’s why she wanted to collaborate with me,” he said.
Phila described “Vuka” as more than a dance track, emphasising that it is an anthem of motivation and faith. He said the song encourages listeners to believe that anything is possible if they commit fully. “No matter the difficulties, you can get up and get it. Nothing stops you,” he explained.
The message extends beyond personal challenges to a broader outlook on life. Phila said the song reminds people that setbacks are not the end of the road and encourages them to innovate, adapt, and trust in God’s guidance. “Fans will see endless possibilities that they can have when they do believe,” he stated.
“Vuka” is part of Phila’s upcoming album, which he hopes to release in the near future. While the album’s release may be delayed until next year, Phila expressed his desire to deliver a project he can be proud of, ensuring that each collaboration is meaningful.
