MBABANE – Philani Maswati, in partnership with the Eswatini Red Cross Society, ADRA, Eswatini Plastic Industries,  Luxyfreight and other stakeholders, has officially launched the first-of-its-kind “Siphila Nabo” Clothes Donation Campaign 2025, a nationwide initiative aimed at providing warm, decent clothing to vulnerable and marginalised communities across the Kingdom.

The campaign seeks to restore dignity, promote kindness, and inspire a lasting culture of giving. It will also strengthen partnerships among NGOs, corporates, and community stakeholders.

According to Lutfo Dlamini the Chairperson of Philani Maswati, the initiative addresses two pressing issues, clothing insecurity among the most vulnerable and the wastage of usable garments that are often stored away or discarded instead of being given to those in need.

“Every item of clothing donated has the power to change a life, restore dignity, and bring comfort,” he said.

Collection Points Nationwide

Donations can be dropped off at all 59 Tinkhundla centers, Red Cross offices, Philani Maswati branches, the Philani Centre in Mantjonga, ADRA offices, and other strategic locations across Eswatini.

Four-Phase Rollout

The campaign will run in four phases:

.Promotion (August – Mid September): Awareness drives, media campaigns, and corporate challenges.

.Collection (Mid August – End September): Gathering clothes from individuals, corporates, and institutions.

.Washing & Sorting (October – Mid November): Ensuring all clothes are clean, wearable, and packaged with dignity.

.Distribution (Mid November – End November): Delivering donations to targeted beneficiaries before the festive season.

The distribution will prioritise disaster victims, needy children, and vulnerable families in rural and urban areas.

Corporate partners, including Luxyfreight and Eswatini Plastic Industries, have already pledged logistical and material support.
