MANZINI – The National Teachers Day 2026 celebration is set to be epic, with Pick n Pay Lojaf donating E300 000 to the Swaziland National Association of Teachers (SNAT) towards the event, highlighting the company’s commitment to recognising educators and supporting Eswatini’s education sector.
The sponsorship was officially handed over at Matsapha Link on October 14, 2026, with Pick n Pay Lojaf leadership and SNAT representatives gathering to witness the occasion.
Announcing the sponsorship, Lojaf Partners Partner Sthofeni Ginindza said the contribution demonstrated the company’s commitment to its partnership with SNAT.
“We are pleased to contribute E300 000 towards SNAT’s National Teachers Day celebration. This partnership gives us an opportunity to work with the association in recognising teachers and the important role they play in shaping Eswatini’s future,” said Ginindza.
Lojaf Group Eswatini Chief Executive Officer Mario Fernandes expressed gratitude for the partnership, saying the company valued its relationship with SNAT and the opportunity to support the teaching profession.
“We are grateful to SNAT for this partnership. We value the opportunity to work together in celebrating teachers and acknowledging their contribution to education and the development of our country,” said Fernandes.
Outgoing SNAT Executive President Mbongwa Dlamini welcomed the sponsorship, noting that partnerships with the private sector were important as the association continued to grow and strengthen its work on behalf of teachers.
“We appreciate Pick n Pay Lojaf’s support as SNAT continues to grow. Partnerships like this help us strengthen our work and recognise teachers for their contribution. They also benefit Pick n Pay by building its relationship with the teaching community and demonstrating its commitment to education,” said Dlamini.
The E300 000 sponsorship will support SNAT’s National Teachers Day celebration, providing an opportunity to acknowledge educators’ dedication and their role in preparing pupils for the future.
The contribution highlights how collaboration between businesses and professional associations can support initiatives that recognise educators and strengthen relationships between the private sector and the education community.
For SNAT, the sponsorship provides financial support for the event, while Pick n Pay Lojaf reinforces its engagement with teachers through a partnership centred on the value of education.
The donation brings the business and education sectors together in recognising the contribution of teachers to the development of Eswatini’s future generations.
