MBABANE – Prime Minister Russell Mmiso Dlamini today received a courtesy visit from the General Director of MozParks, Mr Onório Manuel, at the Private and Cabinet Office.
Mr Manuel was accompanied by Eswatini’s Ambassador to Mozambique, Mlondi Dlamini, and senior officials from MozParks.
Discussions focused on exploring a potential partnership with MozParks, following His Majesty King Mswati III’s recent visit to two of the company’s facilities in Mozambique. MozParks is the official developer and operator of Sustainable Economic Zones in Mozambique, contributing over 40% to the country’s industrial GDP and generating billions of US dollars annually.
The company has expressed keen interest in extending its economic zone development model to Eswatini. The Prime Minister assured that his office will collaborate closely with the Ministry of Commerce, Industry and Trade, as well as the Eswatini Embassy in Mozambique, to ensure the project’s successful realisation, a move expected to boost investment, industrial growth, and job creation in the Kingdom.
