This year’s showcase marks the second edition of the Poetry in Comfort initiative, featuring both South African poets and well-known local talents. The diverse lineup is poised to captivate audiences with a blend of styles and themes, making it a must-attend event for poetry enthusiasts.

Project Manager Mnqobi Tsabedze emphasizes,“We are presenting the art space with a poetry in comfort outdoor concept,” he explained. “We take it this is a self-explanatory concept; we want to provide an exclusive, luxurious experience to poetry lovers and art enthusiasts. Our goal is to create lasting memories for attendees, rather than just having them attend an event and leave.”
The event will feature distinct segments designed to enhance the overall experience for participants and attendees alike. The first segment focuses on Talent Search/Talent Appreciation, where young and undiscovered poets will be given a platform to showcase their skills on a significant stage. “This segment allows us to crown the best poets of the day,” Tsabedze noted. “We believe that this will change the poetry industry; it is what it needs now. We aim to award all the amazing undiscovered talent a stage to showcase what they have to the world.”
Tsabedze emphasised the importance of maintaining a classy and manageable event, which is why they are limiting the number of entries. “We want to ensure that the event remains intimate and allows for meaningful interactions,” he added.
Attendees can anticipate an experience unlike any other. “Poetry lovers should expect a memory they will keep forever,” Tsabedze stated. “We urge poetry lovers, art lovers, and young people to buy tickets to support this great initiative, which looks at empowering youth and uplifting the art space in the country.”
