NTFONJENI — Pigg’s Peak City Stars have been crowned champions of the 2026 Ntfonjeni Cabana U13 Regional Zone Tournament, after an exciting day of youth football at Mshinande Sports Ground on Saturday, 15 August 2026.
The tournament, organised under the Hhohho Regional Football Association, brought together four teams competing for the E95,000 prize package and the opportunity to be recognised as the top Under-13 side in the regional zone.
Pigg’s Peak City Stars emerged as the champions, putting together a strong campaign to finish at the top of the competition. Maguga Cosmos secured the runners-up position, while SunCity finished third and Twin Stars completed the tournament in fourth place.
The competition featured two semi-final matches, with SunCity taking on Pigg’s Peak City Stars in the opening fixture, while Twin Stars faced Maguga Cosmos in the second semi-final. The teams that lost their respective semi-finals then contested the third-place playoff before the finalists battled for the championship.
The tournament provided young footballers with a valuable platform to showcase their skills, gain competitive experience and develop their confidence on the field. Such youth competitions also play an important role in identifying and nurturing emerging football talent at grassroots level.
