MBABANE- Prayer 26 delivers hope, unity and inspiration for Eswatini’s artists and nation.
House music lovers and fans of soulful collaborations are in for something special as LIVIN SZ, Gifted-Kosie, and Sethu come together for their latest single, Prayer 26. More than just a song, it is a heartfelt prayer that carries layers of meaning, personal, national, and spiritual.
For LIVIN SZ, the track represents a return to his roots. “I’ve always been a house music lover and producer. The recent collaboration with Black Motion inspired me to go back to that house space and embrace my African identity in music,” he shared. His vision was to create music that not only entertains but also uplifts the soul.
According to Gifted-Kosie, Prayer 26 is a collective cry for better days for all artists in Eswatini. “Prayer 26 is a prayer, a prayer in which LIVIN SZ, Sethu and I are standing for and representing all musicians in our country, praying that better days may come for all of us,” he said.
The song also carries special symbolism tied to the number 26. As Gifted-Kosie explained, “Prayer 26 stands for two important things in my life: a resolution prayer and expectation for the year 2026. It’s also a double celebration because LIVIN SZ just turned 26, and the song will drop on the 26th of September.”
For LIVIN SZ, collaboration is central to his journey. “It’s always been my foundation and heart that as I climb up the success ladder, I don’t do it solo. I want to be a door of opportunity for others. I couldn’t avoid working with Gifted-Kosie and Sethu, two of Eswatini’s powerhouses who represent not just talent, but the future of our country’s media,” he explained. What began as an idea shared over a WhatsApp call quickly grew into a collaboration of purpose.
The artists believe the track is not just for musicians, but for every individual in Eswatini striving for a brighter tomorrow. “Music producers, artists, and everyone hungry for a better life and success are covered in this prayer. The song is a prayer that covers our entire nation,” said Gifted-Kosie.
But this is just the beginning. The trio sees Prayer 26 as the start of a movement. “Most definitely, we’ve started a culture and a lifestyle through one song. We’ll cement our place with more songs on the way, more messages to share. Most importantly, our Prayer 26 will be solidified by a music video which will clearly show the represented people in our prayer,” they revealed.
As the countdown to September 26 begins, Prayer 26 stands not only as a track to enjoy but as a national anthem of hope, unity, and resilience.
