MSHINGISHINI – Prince Ngangaza Dlamini has encouraged residents of Mshingishini to take responsibility for preserving and continuing the culture and traditions of EmaSwati, stressing the importance of seeking accurate information rather than spreading rumours.
Prince Ngangaza was speaking during an educational programme held at the Mshingishingini Royal Kraal, where residents were engaged on SiSwati culture, traditions and their importance to communities.
He urged residents to ensure that cultural knowledge is passed from one generation to another, saying the responsibility of preserving EmaSwati culture should not be left to a few individuals.
“Everyone should always make sure not to spread rumours, but instead ask the right people that do that particular job instead of speculating,” Prince Ngangaza said.
His message highlighted the importance of obtaining information directly from people who are knowledgeable about specific cultural practices, particularly when questions or uncertainties arise.
The programme provided an opportunity for residents to learn, ask questions and engage on matters concerning SiSwati culture and traditions. The discussions also demonstrated the role of community participation in keeping cultural knowledge alive.
The educational engagement comes as cultural programmes continue to provide platforms for Emaswati to learn about and participate in traditions that form part of the country’s cultural heritage.
The programme at Mshingishingini Royal Kraal therefore served both as a learning platform and an opportunity for residents to reflect on their role in preserving cultural practices for future generations.
