EZULWINI– Rising Eswatini artist Sancheziey is set to fulfil one of his biggest career dreams after being confirmed as a supporting act for South African award-winning musician Sjava at the Sjava Ka Jama Live Eswatini show on July 31 at Mdzimba View Shisanyama.
The highly anticipated event will run from 4pm until late and is expected to attract music lovers from across the country. Fans will have an opportunity to watch Sjava perform live alongside one of Eswatini’s fast-rising cultural music acts, Sancheziey. The event offers general pre-sale tickets for E100, VIP pre-sale tickets for E300, gate tickets for E150 and VIP gate tickets for E400.
Speaking to Eswatini Positive News, Sancheziey described the opportunity as a dream come true, saying Sjava has been one of the artists who has inspired his musical journey.
“Sjava’s moves inspire me in so many ways. When I saw the poster a month ago, I was like one of my dreams is about to become a reality. I actually approached Zulu D and asked for a slot in the event for one reason – I wished Sjava could see me perform and actually experience this kind of Swati music. The rest I’d leave to God. Targeting to invade South African spaces, a collaboration with artists like Sjava is like a VIP ticket to the South African music market. Finally being granted the stage is everything for me,” he said.
The artist believes performing on such a major platform comes with great responsibility but also presents an opportunity to showcase the strength of the Salukazana brand.
“The bigger the event, the bigger the challenge and the greater the impact, especially if you’ve done well. I believe the whole Salukazana brand is ready for this level in terms of preparation, performance and everything after the event. It also shows the trust that event organisers, companies and NGOs are beginning to have in us, and we appreciate everyone who has contributed to getting us here,” he said.
Fans attending the show can expect an energetic performance rooted in Eswatini’s cultural identity.
“Whenever Salukazana gets on stage, you should make sure your cultural dance is ready because that’s what we trigger with our performance. We only want emaSwati to remember that they are Swatis and be excited about being emaSwati,” he said.
Although his performance slot will last just 15 minutes, Sancheziey said he is looking forward to delivering a memorable set.
“We have 15 minutes on stage, so it’s only a matter of doing all we can to bless the nation. I can’t really specify one song because I’m ready to perform any of my songs. They all have that special thing,” he said.
He also encouraged fans not to miss what promises to be a memorable evening.
“I urge everyone to witness a moment of soul-pouring performance on stage because that’s what we know from Indlalifa,” he said.
The event is expected to celebrate both local and regional talent while giving Eswatini artists another opportunity to showcase their music alongside internationally recognised performers.
