MBABANE– The Kingdom of Eswatini’s music landscape has reached a new milestone as Sancheziey’s star-studded remix of his hit track, “Siyabonga Gogo,” continues to draw massive numbers online.
In a remarkable display of local support, the music video has officially surpassed 18 000 views on YouTube within just three days of its release, quickly climbing toward the 18k mark.
The remix, which dropped on Friday, December 19, 2025, has been hailed as a cultural masterpiece, bringing together a cross-generational lineup that includes the legendary Lodanda, contemporary hip-hop giant Young Zesh, and the melodic voices of the Limkokwing Choir. Reflecting on this overwhelming reception, Sancheziey noted that the success is a direct result of the meticulous planning and heart his team poured into the project.
“This matches the commitment I and the team put in making this Remix,” Sancheziey shared. “The research put together to get the artists that will match the energy on its own is something else. The investment made from the production team both for visuals and music production is indeed paying out. I pray this becomes the crossover song and looking at the reaction of emaSwati, it’s promising. And I am so much grateful to everyone who shared, commented and watched. Thank you Eswatini.”
The rapid surge in viewership confirms Sancheziey’s earlier promise that this would be one of the most significant collaborations the country has seen. By reaching such high numbers in a short window, the song is proving its staying power as the year draws to a close, gaining momentum to rival the original version’s record of over 65 000 views. This success is deeply rooted in the project’s authenticity. Recorded at the Arts and Culture studios in Manzini, the session was designed as a full cultural immersion, echoing the Salukazana brand’s mission to celebrate Swati heritage. The track features traditional elements like the Luveve instrument played by Mabhodweni and “Bujaha vibes” provided by Ulaka Lebhubezi, resonating deeply with local audiences.
A major highlight for many listeners has been the return of legendary Msani singer Lodanda. Having last recorded in 2015, her presence adds an emotional weight that connects listeners to their family roots. Sancheziey noted that securing her participation was a long-held dream made possible by Lindelwa Mafa and Cy Ndukwemnyama. This legendary influence is balanced by the addition of Young Zesh, who delivered modern hip-hop flows that perfectly complement the traditional “Lisiko lekucelwa” theme. Meanwhile, the Limkokwing Choir—who inspired the remix after their 2025 graduation performance—provided the lush vocal backdrop that has captivated the digital community.
The visualiser, captured by MegaSounds Records with photography by Ejal’dini Studios, allows fans to witness the intense studio sessions. Behind the boards, producers Tus Mvuleni (Emadlelweni Music) and SeanCast HQ ensured a world-class sound, while Ceceboy guided the choir’s harmonies.
As views continue to climb, the support from EmaSwati remains the driving force behind this success. With the festive season momentum building, “Siyabonga Gogo Remix” is setting a high standard for the industry heading into 2026.
