MBABANE – The Swaziland Building Society (SBS) Elite Netball League is set to resume with an exhilarating clash between Green Lightning (Correctional) and Royal Flames (REPS).
This highly anticipated fixture promises to deliver an exciting display of netball talent. The game will played on Saturday, March 1, 2025 Olympafrica Development Sports Centre, Lobamba, kick-off 3pm.
Green Lightning, representing the Correctional Services, currently tops the league table after six matches, boasting 12 points and remaining unbeaten. Royal Flames, affiliated with the Royal Eswatini Police Services (REPS), sits in second place with an identical points tally, also yet to lose a match.
In addition to this thrilling encounter, the league will feature other matches on the same day: Buffaloes (3rd place) will host Vixens (4th place) at noon and the day will commence with a match between Manzini Ladies and OlympAfrica at 9am.
The Men’s Elite Netball League will also kick off, with Green Lightning facing Vixens at 1:30pm. Other matches include Ballbusters against Spartans at 10:30am.
In the men’s league standings, Green Lightning leads with 10 points, followed by Royal Flames with six points. Vixens and Buffaloes are tied on points, with Vixens in third place. Ballbusters currently sit fifth without any point, while Spartans occupy the last position with 2 points.
Meanwhile, Regional teams will also be competing, with matches for the Mpuluzi Zone taking place at Silele and Mlobane Sports Ground. The Mangcongco Zone will see action at Malutha Sports Ground.
In the Manzini Region, the Manzini Zone will compete at Lamvelase Sports Ground, while the Mbabane Zone will be in action at Coronation Park, Mbabane.
