MBABANE– Select Limited has donated 12 waste bins to Matsapha, Siteki and Pigg’s Peak towns as part of efforts to promote environmental cleanliness and responsible waste disposal in communities.
The handover ceremony took place on , May 19, 2026, and brought together representatives from the three towns, company officials, members of the media and stakeholders involved in the initiative.
Speaking during the event, General Manager Sakhile Zwane said the donation reflected the company’s commitment to supporting communities and contributing towards a cleaner and healthier Eswatini. Zwane explained that Select Limited, which has over 25 years of experience providing financial services in the country, believes that environmental sustainability is an important part of community development.
“As part of our commitment to giving back to the community, we recognise that a clean and sustainable environment is the foundation of a healthy and thriving society,” he said. He noted that waste management should not only be left to local authorities, but required cooperation from businesses, residents and other stakeholders.
According to Zwane, the waste bins will be placed in strategic locations across Matsapha, Siteki and Pigg’s Peak to assist pedestrians, market vendors and residents in disposing of waste responsibly. He added that the initiative was expected to help reduce littering, prevent blocked drainage systems and improve the appearance of public spaces within the towns.
The company also thanked Shak Enterprise for facilitating the supply and installation of the waste bins. Select Limited further expressed appreciation to the leadership of Matsapha, Siteki and Pigg’s Peak for accepting the donation and working together with the private sector to promote cleaner communities.
