LOZITHA – Chiefs of the Shiselweni Region contributed 25 cattle which could be used during the King’s Birthday.
A total of 171 cattle were donated by various individuals and organisations on April 16, 2025 at Mandvulo Grand Hall, Lozitha Royal Palace. The chiefs appeared to be the ones who presented many cattle, among many others who also made their own donations of cattle. They are understood to have done so especially because they are the ones who will be hosting the king, as he will be celebrating his birthday in Nhlangano on April 25, 2025.
There are 100 chiefdoms in the Shiselweni Region, which are spread across 15 constituencies (tinkhundla), which are units into which the region is sub-divided. The cattle, started to be seen at the vicinity of Mandvulo at about 11am. The cattle were driven into the palace until late in the afternoon. His Majesty King Mswati III inspected the cattle from around 6:45pm, before he got in to the Mandvulo Grand Hall to inspect some of the gifts presented to him. He also received the cheques presented to him inside the hall.
