MANZINI – Eswatini’s SKNDRP Apparel blends creativity, culture, and quality to redefine streetwear fashion.

Founded on January 9, 2021, SKNDRP Apparel has become a defining force in Eswatini’s streetwear scene. Originally called “Skoon Drip,” the brand later rebranded to SKNDRP, a fusion of Afrikaans and English slang meaning “clean fashion.”

According to CEO Nkosephayo Ntokozo Mndzebele, the brand is more than just clothes, it’s about resilience, ambition, and identity.

“Growing up, I was fascinated by how clothes could shift energy and influence confidence. I wanted to create pieces that empower people to see no limits in themselves or their surroundings,” Mndzebele shares. Fashion wasn’t his initial career plan, but creativity and curiosity led him there. “I started making merchandise for my DJ stage name, Enpee O, and through that experience, I learned the industry, which eventually led me to create SKNDRP as an independent, fully-fledged brand.”

Mndzebele draws design inspiration from street culture, African heritage, human emotion, and global icons like Thatiso Dube (GALXBOY), Nigo (BAPE), and Pharrell Williams. “SKNDRP’s style is bold, urban, and limitless. Our streetwear carries attitude, clean fashion, powerful statements, and unapologetic energy,” he explains.

The brand communicates a message of self-belief and individuality. “Every piece encourages people to see beyond their current situation and embrace their power. Our tagline, ‘See No Limits,’ is not just a slogan; it’s a reminder that greatness starts with the mindset,” says Mndzebele.

COO Sade Juma oversees SKNDRP’s operations, ensuring smooth processes and consistent quality. “We inspect every batch before release. Leadership, organization, and problem-solving are essential in fashion, where things can change overnight. We make sure everything reflects SKNDRP’s vision, from production to customer experience,” she notes.

Juma also emphasizes the company culture: “SKNDRP is creative, young, and driven. Collaboration is key, and we keep the environment fun, authentic, and family-oriented. That energy shows in everything we create.”

Marketing Director Lungelo Simelane focuses on building SKNDRP’s presence both online and on the ground. “Social media is our biggest tool. Platforms like Facebook and Instagram help us reach the everyday go-getter, young and proud of where they’re from. We’re building culture, not just selling clothes. Our goal is to turn customers into a community that believes in the local drip.”

2025 has been a milestone year for SKNDRP. “Opening our shop, setting up festival stalls, and growing our social presence has been incredible. Seeing people wear our clothes without recognizing me proved that people love the brand itself,” Mndzebele says.

With a focus on storytelling, collaborations, pop-ups, and real engagement, SKNDRP has established itself as more than fashion, it’s a movement that encourages self-belief, confidence, and limitless ambition.
