MALKERNS– The wait is almost over for foodies and fashionistas across Southern Africa as organizers of the Standard Bank Luju Food & Lifestyle Festival officially announced that tickets for the 2026 edition will go on sale this Friday, February 27, at 8:00 AM.
Under the theme “A Return to the African Future,” the festival is set to take place on August 1–2, 2026, at the iconic House on Fire in Malkerns, Eswatini. In a historic move for the event’s 8-year history, Luju is expanding into a full weekend experience, doubling the music, food, and fashion across both Saturday and Sunday.
Prospective attendees are encouraged to set their alarms, as the highly sought-after Early Bird tickets will be available at “honey-coated” discounted rates. These limited-phase tickets are known to sell out rapidly as fans rush to secure their spot at one of Africa’s most celebrated cultural gatherings.
“The early bird gets to #EatSwayLove at honey-coated rates,” organizers shared, emphasizing that the expansion to two days is a direct response to fans deserving more culinary masterclasses, more runway moments, and a wider Pan-African music lineup.
The 2026 edition aims to build on the massive momentum of the 2025 festival, which featured a vibrant Fashion Show and a high-stakes Cooking Competition. The 2025 lineup set a high bar for the region, anchored by world-class performances from:
- Nomfundo Moh
- Phila Dlozi
- Lady Zamar
- De Mthuda
- TKZEE
By transitioning to a two-day format, the festival promises deeper connections with Africa’s finest cultures and provides attendees with the perfect excuse to flaunt two fabulous outfits over the weekend.
Tickets, along with accommodation and travel packages, will be available starting February 27 through the official website, www.lujufestival.com. With the festival now covering a full weekend, attendees are urged to gather their crews and stay connected for further updates as the countdown to August begins.
