LOBAMBA – While the national budget speech is all about the country’s money and future plans, the corridors of Parliament in the Kingdom of Eswatini turned into a high-fashion runway on February 27, 2026.
Ministers, Members of Parliament, and distinguished guests gathered to hear the economic plans for the year, making it a day where serious business met great style.
The event brought together many important leaders from across the political spectrum. Regional MPs Futhi Ngcamphalala (Lubombo) and Thandeka Mavuso (Manzini) stood out with their impressive outfits, effectively blending political presence with high-end fashion.
Ngcamphalala commanded attention in a vibrant, floor-length red gown featuring a dramatic, high structural collar and delicate matching embellishments. Mavuso opted for a sophisticated black ensemble, wearing a form-fitting midi-length gown with a daring, sheer, and intricately sequined bodice, finished with bold architectural shoulders and an elegant black fascinator.

The attention to detail—from stylish, structured handbags to bright, rich colors—perfectly matched the high energy inside the Parliament chamber. This fusion of style and governance highlights that our leadership is not only focused on economic growth but also on celebrating the vibrant identity of the Kingdom on the national and global stage.
