EZULWINI–Those Facing Challenges Should Surrender Their Battles to God.
This was the message from Ezulwini Umphakatsi Indvuna Sifiso Mashampu Khumalo during the Ezulwini Umphakatsi mid-year prayer service held over the weekend.
The service brought together churches from different Christian denominations, church leaders, congregants and community members under the theme, “Simakadze Uyasilwela Etimphini Tetfu” (God Fights Our Battles). Worshippers gathered to pray for God’s guidance, wisdom and protection for the remaining months of 2026.
Indvuna Mashampu Khumalo said Christians should remain faithful and courageous, even when faced with difficult situations. Referring to the Book of Exodus, he reminded worshippers that God fights for His people and that they should trust Him instead of giving in to fear.
He also spoke about Moses, saying the great leader refused to move forward unless God was with His people. Khumalo encouraged believers to seek God’s direction in everything they do and to remain committed to prayer.
Using the example of Peter, who began to sink after taking his eyes off Jesus, Khumalo urged Christians to keep their focus on God at all times. He said believers should pray consistently and never allow challenges to weaken their faith.
Khumalo also thanked God for the Hee Yeon Memorial (HYM) Clinic at Nyonyane, describing it as a blessing for the Ezulwini community. Although the clinic has not yet been officially commissioned, he said it has already started providing healthcare services to residents, bringing quality medical care closer to the people.
The prayer service attracted a large number of worshippers from across Ezulwini, reflecting the growing interest in community prayer gatherings. Different churches joined together in worship, praising God and praying for peace, unity and His continued blessings upon the community and the country.
Community prayer services continue to attract large gatherings across Eswatini. Last month, Chief Jozane, who is also a Senator, hosted a similar prayer meeting that drew many people.
Over the weekend, another annual prayer service was also held at Princess Lomkhukhu’s residence in Mangwaneni, where local churches, Balondolozi, Bantfwabenkhosi, Emakhosikati and congregants from across the area gathered in prayer. Worshippers from South Africa also attended the service.
Indvuna concluded by encouraging emaSwati to continue trusting God through every season of life, saying those who remain faithful and steadfast in prayer will find strength because God never abandons His people in their battles.
