SWIMMER SIWAKHILE DLAMINI FOR AUSTRALIA GOLD COAST CHAMPIONSHIPS

MBABANE – Swimmer Siwakhile Dlamini will compete in the Swimming Gold Coast Championships 2025.

Dlamini who is based in Australia under the World Aquatics scholarship will compete on Saturday and Sunday (March 1 and 2, 2025). This was announced by the Eswatini Swimming Association (ESA).

The championships in Australia started on February 25 and the finals day is on Sunday. They championships are held at the Gold Coast Aquatics Centre, Queensland.

On Saturday, Dlamini will compete in 50m freestyle while on Sunday she will compete in the 100m freestyle. ESA wished Dlamini good luck in the competitions. She missed out in the on-going National Championships at Enjabulweni School, Manzini.

Dlamini is among the top swimmers in the country. In 2023 she was awarded a scholarship by the World Aquatics to study and train Phuket, Thailand and then last year she was awarded a year scholarship to be based in Australia.

“Siwakhile Dlamini will be representing Eswatini at the Swimming Gold Coast Championships 2025 in Queensland, Australia (25 Feb – 02 March). Siwakhile’s race schedule is as follows, 50M Freestyle (Saturday, 01 March 1, 2025) and then 100M Freestyle (Sunday, March 2, 2025). The venue is Gold Coast Aquatics Centre, Queensland.
