MBABANE – Team Eswatini has departed for Lusaka, Zambia, where the national handball delegation will represent the Kingdom at the International Handball Federation (IHF) Zone VI tournament.
The Eswatini Sport and Recreation Council (ESRC) confirmed the squad’s departure, saying the athletes had embarked on their journey carrying the hopes and support of the nation.
The Eswatini Handball Association national team will compete against regional opposition as it seeks to showcase the country’s handball talent on the international stage.
The ESRC wished the squad maximum focus, determination and success ahead of the tournament, while calling on emaSwati to rally behind the national team.
The delegation’s participation is part of Eswatini’s continued efforts to develop and expose its athletes to international competition.
