MAVUSO – The Chairperson of Philani Maswati, Lutfo Dlamini, has described the successful hosting of the 10th edition of the Biggest Braai After Party as a true reflection of Agape Love, following what is believed to be one of the largest turnouts in the event’s history.

Held at the Mavuso Trade and Exhibition Centre, this year’s event attracted thousands of revellers from across Eswatini, with music, entertainment, food, culture and family-friendly activities bringing people together in celebration.

Speaking in an interview after the event, Dlamini said he was overwhelmed by the public response, noting that this year’s attendance had exceeded last year’s figures.

“I am very happy looking at the number of people who came this year compared to last year. Last year we had roughly 8 000 people, but this year we believe we may have reached around 10 000. That is something we truly appreciate,” he said.

He said the impressive turnout was more than just a successful event, describing it as a vote of confidence in Her Majesty the Indlovukazi, Philani Maswati and the Biggest Braai itself.

“The number of people who came is a vote of confidence to the Indlovukazi, to Philani Maswati and to the Biggest Braai. It shows that Emaswati believe in what we are doing,” he added.

Dlamini reserved his greatest gratitude for God and the people of Eswatini, saying their support made the milestone celebration possible.

“I only thank one person, and that is God, for His guidance. I also thank Emaswati for coming out in their numbers and supporting this event. For that, I am truly grateful,” he said.

Beyond the large attendance, Dlamini also welcomed the peaceful atmosphere that characterised the event, saying there were fewer incidents of violence compared to previous years.

“We also experienced less violence, and that is something we are thankful for. It shows that people came to celebrate in peace and unity.”

According to Dlamini, reaching the 10th edition is a significant milestone and a clear indication that the vision behind the Biggest Braai continues to grow stronger each year.

“The 10th edition of the Biggest Braai is a testimony of Agape Love. For now, that is what I can be grateful for,” he said.

He revealed that the organising committee would provide a comprehensive report to Her Majesty the Indlovukazi, the event’s patron, before sharing a full post-event assessment with the public.

“We will return with full remarks after we have delivered our report to Her Majesty the Indlovukazi. We are preparing to report back to our patron because we told her we were going to do this work, and she gave us her blessing. We are grateful that everything went well,” said Dlamini.

The Biggest Braai has grown into one of Eswatini’s most anticipated annual social gatherings, bringing together families, local businesses, artists, government leaders and visitors from across the region. The 10th edition celebrated the theme Agape Love, promoting unity, peace and togetherness while reinforcing the event’s role in fostering national pride and social cohesion.
