MANZINI– The countdown to a day of Amapiano, hiphop and soulful house is on as the Ocean Summer Vibes heads to Rides Ranch on the 24th of October. gearing up for a musical takeover bringing together some of Southern Africa’s biggest sounds.
With Amapiano, hip-hop and soulful house on the menu, music lovers can look forward to a day where the beats do the talking, the dance floor comes alive and different musical worlds meet in one place.
Summer vibes not just about the music also about the fits! From colourful crop tops, breezy shirts and denim shorts to flowy dresses, bucket hats, shades and fresh sneakers, Ocean Summer Vibes is another chance for festivalgoers to bring out their summer wardrobe. Think sunshine colours, cool fabrics and outfits that can survive a full day of dancing. Whether going for a beach-inspired look or streetwear with an Amapiano twist, dress light, look fresh and let the summer style speak!
Leading the line-up is South African DJ and producer DJ Maphorisa, whose catalogue has helped shape the sound of modern Amapiano. He will be joined by Kelvin Momo, whose soulful productions have earned him a loyal following, and rapper Blxckie, bringing a hip-hop flavour to the mix.
The line-up also features Thatohatsi, Pcee, Danya Devs and musical duo Artwork Sounds, adding more variety to a programme that stretches across different sounds and moods. Eswatini will also have its representatives in Sbu De Drum DJ, who is behind the event, and DJ Cup. Their inclusion brings local talent into the same space as regional acts whose music regularly finds its way onto dance floors across Southern Africa.
For fans, the excitement lies in more than just the names on the line-up. It is the prospect of hearing familiar hits live, discovering different sounds and sharing the experience with fellow music lovers. With Amapiano rhythms, hip-hop flows and soulful melodies all in the mix, there will be plenty to keep the crowd moving.
Ocean Summer Vibes has previously brought major South African performers to Riders Ranch. The 2024 edition featured DJ Maphorisa, Kabza De Small and Young Stunna, helping establish the festival as a gathering point for fans of regional music. The upcoming edition is scheduled to begin at noon, with performances expected to continue into the night. As October 24 approaches, the question is simple: Are music lovers ready to trade their everyday routines for a day of bass, beats and summer vibes?
