MBABANE – The University of Eswatini community is celebrating a major international achievement after Professor (Dr. Dr. Dr.) Joseph Kwasi Agyemang was named Outstanding Educator in Accounting and Auditing at the Global Academic Awards.
Prof. Agyemang triumphed over more than 500 contenders from across the globe, earning recognition for his excellence in teaching, cutting-edge research and unwavering commitment to student development. The accolade places him among the world’s leading academics in the accounting and auditing discipline.
Renowned as the first scholar to hold three distinct PhDs in Accounting, Prof. Agyemang has built a reputation for academic innovation. At UNESWA, he has been at the forefront of integrating artificial intelligence into accounting education, ensuring that graduates are equipped with modern, industry-relevant skills required in an increasingly digital financial environment.
His work in Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) reporting has also attracted international attention, contributing to global conversations on transparency, sustainability and corporate accountability.
Beyond academic achievements, Prof. Agyemang was specifically recognised for his empathy and inclusive approach to education.
