MALKERNS — The 19th edition of the MTN BUSHFIRE Festival turned the scenic Malkerns Valley into a lively tapestry of music, art, and community from May 29 to May 31, 2025.
The three-day festival brought together over 30 000 people from all corners of the globe, united by a shared passion for creativity and positive change.
This year’s festival pulsed with vibrant energy, featuring headline performances by South African powerhouses like Boom Shaka, Inkabi Zezwe, DJ Oscar Mbo, Morda, KO, Aymos, Thandiswa Mazwai, Ladysmith Black Mambazo, Zee Nxumalo, and DJ Merlon. Local stars also lit up the stage, including M Nation, Young Zesh, Lyrikal Busta, Lady Zee, Ziyawa Kazitha, and Speech Umlangeni.
Visual artists transformed the festival grounds into a stunning wonderland of installations, while interactive workshops inspired festival-goers to share ideas and embrace sustainability.
True to its theme, “Bring Your Fire,” MTN BUSHFIRE 2025 also showcased the festival’s unwavering commitment to social responsibility. Proceeds from the festival went towards supporting Young Heroes and boMake Rural Projects, extending a hand of hope and empowerment to rural communities in Eswatini.
As the final notes of music faded on Sunday night, the festival left behind more than just memories — it ignited a spirit of unity and creativity that will burn bright until next year’s celebration. #MTNBushfire2025 #BringYourFire
