MBABANE– Football fans across Eswatini will be spoilt for choice on Sunday, July 19, as town councils, event organisers and entertainment venues host public screenings of the 2026 FIFA World Cup Final, transforming the country’s venues into vibrant football fan parks.
With the world’s biggest football match kicking off at 9pm, supporters can gather in Siteki, Piggs Peak, Matsapha and other entertainment hotspots to witness the crowning of the new world champions on giant screens while enjoying live entertainment and a festive atmosphere.
The Siteki Town Council will host its official World Cup Final screening at Siteki Town Hall, with doors opening at 5pm. Only 100 chairs will be available on a first-come, first-served basis, after which attendees will be encouraged to bring their own camping chairs. The council has invited families, friends and football enthusiasts to experience the final together in what promises to be an exciting community gathering.
In the Hhohho Region, the Piggs Peak Town Council will welcome football lovers to Killarney Sports Ground, where build-up activities begin at 6pm before kick-off at 9pm. Residents, stakeholders and neighbouring communities have been encouraged to wear their favourite team’s jersey, wave the Eswatini flag and enjoy an evening celebrating the beautiful game.
Meanwhile, football and business will come together at the Mavuso Sports Centre Basketball Court, where the 8Bet Trade Fair Cup 2026 will officially be launched during a FIFA World Cup Final Watch Party. Gates open at 5pm, with 1,200 seats available for supporters who reserve their places in advance. Organisers say the event will mark the official start of the journey towards the 2026 Eswatini International Trade Fair, blending football, networking and community engagement.
Entertainment lovers will also have several options after the match. Malandela’s Lifestyle will host the FIFA World Cup 2026 Closing Watch Party, featuring South African DJs Mpho.WAV, Kenza and JNR, alongside local acts DJ Mbo, Ayacity, Fantacy and Tribal Natives, offering supporters a lively atmosphere to celebrate football’s biggest night.
At The Xchange Lounge, award-winning South African DJ Oscar Mbo will headline a special World Cup Final celebration, with organisers promising an unforgettable viewing experience on the big screen before the venue transforms into a post-match celebration.
Whether fans choose a community hall, sports ground or entertainment venue, Sunday’s World Cup Final is expected to unite thousands of emaSwati in celebration of football, creating an electric atmosphere as the world crowns its next champions.
