MATSAPHA– Rising local artist Young Zesh is preparing to host what promises to be one of the biggest musical showcases of the season as “Young Zesh & Friends” takes centre stage on 09 May 2026 at Dreams Rest and Bar in Matsapha, opposite Salt & Pepper.
The event, organised by Mabonwa Abulawe Records, will feature South African hitmaker Mfana Ka Gogo as the headline act in a move aimed at strengthening collaboration between Eswatini and South African artists while giving music lovers a memorable entertainment experience.
Mfana Ka Gogo has built a strong name for himself within the amapiano scene through his energetic sound and street-inspired style of music. The South African artist rose to prominence after releasing several popular collaborations and singles that gained attention across social media platforms and clubs in Southern Africa. Known for his vibrant performances and catchy vocals, the musician continues to grow his fan base across the region.
The show is expected to begin at 4PM and continue until late, bringing together both established and upcoming performers under one stage. Apart from Young Zesh, fans will also be treated to performances by Cool Drop, Thaifo Son, Lesia Musiq, The Dee, CuezyODJ and DH Spinner.
Speaking through a media statement, organisers described the event as more than just another music gathering, but rather a celebration of culture, creativity and unity through music.
Mabonwa Abulawe Records said the event forms part of its ongoing mission to create platforms where local artists can grow, connect and share stages with international talent. The organisers believe bringing Mfana Ka Gogo to Eswatini will not only excite fans, but also help expose local creatives to wider opportunities within the entertainment industry.
General access tickets will cost E30 while VIP tickets are priced at E60. Tickets will be sold at the gate on the day of the event.
The event is expected to attract music lovers from different parts of the country, especially fans eager to witness the collaboration between Young Zesh and the South African star performer.
With excitement already building on social media, “Young Zesh & Friends” is shaping up to be one of Matsapha’s must-attend entertainment events this month.
