MBABANE— The roar of engines is set to add a new rhythm to Mbabane as the +268 Motorcycle Club prepares to host its inaugural three-day rally under the theme “Siphusa ngo Thando” — we ride with love — from September 18 to 20, 2026, at the Prince of Wales.
The rally, launched in partnership with the Mbabane City Council, is expected to bring together bikers from Eswatini and across Southern Africa for a weekend combining motorcycle culture, entertainment, family activities and tourism.
Delivering remarks on behalf of the club’s president, Thabo “The Duke” Magagula, was Vice President Lomkhosi Magagula, who described the rally as more than a gathering of motorcycle enthusiasts.
According to Magagula, the event will feature a Friday jam session, followed by a Saturday family day including a breakfast run, vendor stalls and live music, before concluding with a Sunday send-off.
She highlighted the potential of the rally to contribute to Mbabane’s tourism and local economy by bringing visitors into the city, filling hotel rooms and restaurants while creating opportunities for local vendors and artisans to showcase their products to a regional audience.
The partnership with the Mbabane City Council was also recognised as a key pillar of the event, with the council assisting with public space, parking, camping, permits and safety coordination.
Magagula further extended an invitation to bikers from Eswatini and neighbouring countries, including South Africa, Mozambique, Botswana and Lesotho, positioning the rally as an opportunity for the regional biking community to unite.
With entertainment, family activities, motorcycling and tourism all riding into one weekend, the organisers are calling on the public to support the inaugural edition and help establish it as an annual feature on Mbabane’s events calendar.
