MBABANE – Kids go green with games, laughter, and learning!
It was all smiles, laughter, and learning at the Go Green Fun Day this past Saturday, 7 June 2025, as children from across Msunduza gathered at the Msunduza Sports Ground for an exciting, eco-friendly celebration.
With the sun shining and music playing, the field transformed into a playground of fun and discovery. Children enjoyed everything from bouncing on jumping castles to tackling lively environmental quizzes—all while munching on snacks and soaking up messages about taking care of the planet.

“I learned that we should always pick up litter and never throw rubbish on the ground,” said 9-year-old Bulelo Msibi, proudly sharing her takeaway from the day.
But the fun wasn’t just for the young ones. The entire event was part of a larger community initiative to promote pride in the local environment. While the little ones played and learned, parents and residents rolled up their sleeves and hit the streets for a neighbourhood clean-up. Together, they raised awareness about the importance of a clean, safe community.

Backed by enthusiastic sponsors such as Eswatini Positive News, SUB Eswatini, SNG Grant Thornton, and Pick n Pay, the event was packed with vibrant energy and plenty of refreshments. Thanks to their support, the kids walked away not only entertained but empowered with eco-knowledge.
From recycling demos to impromptu litter-picking, the children eagerly showed off what they had learned. Many were attending their first-ever environmental event, making the day both a playful and pivotal experience.

“We wanted to make the idea of going green feel fun and engaging,” said one of the organizers. “It’s about planting seeds of awareness and today, the kids really blossomed.”
As the day came to a close, the message was loud and clear: being eco-conscious doesn’t have to be boring—it can be a blast!
