MBABANE – Asikhutulisane Savings and Credit Cooperative Society has joined the nation in commemorating 40 years of leadership by His Majesty King Mswati III, recognising a legacy that has helped create an enabling environment for financial inclusion and community empowerment in Eswatini.

Four Decades of Steady Growth

Established in 1985, Asikhutulisane has grown steadily into one of the country’s trusted member-owned financial cooperatives.

The organisation said it has expanded its membership base over the years while strengthening a culture of saving among emaSwati. It added that the cooperative has diversified its financial products and improved service delivery, reflecting the broader national development achieved during His Majesty’s reign.

As the organisation also celebrates its own four decades of existence, it said this milestone comes alongside national progress and stability that have supported its continued growth.

Empowering Members Financially

Through its range of savings and loan products, the cooperative continues to uplift members economically and socially.

These include savings accounts for school fees, festive needs and children, as well as accessible loan facilities designed to assist with emergencies, personal development and small business growth.

Members are encouraged to save a minimum of E200 per month, allowing them to access financial support tailored to their needs.

The cooperative said these services are helping individuals and families plan for the future while building stronger financial security.

Supporting National Vision

Asikhutulisane said its mission to economically empower members through quality and affordable financial services aligns with His Majesty’s vision of a self-reliant and economically active nation.

By promoting financial discipline, responsible saving and inclusive participation, the organisation said it is playing a meaningful role in improving livelihoods and supporting community development across the country.

The cooperative added that strong financial institutions are vital in helping citizens participate fully in the economy.

Tribute to His Majesty

In commemorating His Majesty’s 40 years on the throne, Asikhutulisane acknowledged the peaceful, stable and progressive environment that has enabled cooperatives and businesses to thrive.

The organisation said this supportive climate has allowed many emaSwati to pursue economic opportunities and improve their standard of living.

It also expressed appreciation for leadership that has promoted unity, development and empowerment over the past four decades.

Looking Ahead

Asikhutulisane said it remains committed to expanding access to financial services and empowering even more emaSwati in the years ahead.

The cooperative noted that future plans include strengthening services, growing membership and continuing to promote a culture of saving and responsible borrowing.

As Eswatini celebrates a historic national milestone, Asikhutulisane said it is proud to contribute to the country’s development journey and optimistic about the opportunities that lie ahead.
