MBABANE– Eswatini’s celebrated poet and popular performer, Christian Maz, has officially confirmed that the highly anticipated fourth installment of his famous One-Man Show will take place on American soil on December 5, 2026.
The international event is set to be hosted across the New York–Washington–Seattle area, with the evening’s program starting at 6:00 PM. With an entry fee of approximately E470.00 ($30), the show promises a night of powerful poetry, moving stories, and great performance.
This year’s edition is centered around the theme “Something with Gold,” a concept that points to excellence and the great value of African creativity on the global stage.
Speaking on the upcoming production, Christian Maz revealed that this show will feature a special surprise guest. Their identity will remain a secret until the official poster is released in February. To make things easy for the international audience, the poet confirmed that tickets will be sold through Smart Tickets.
“We are bringing a special surprise guest. As soon as the poster comes out this February, tickets will be sold via Smart Tickets. We cannot wait to see our Swati audience as well as new faces in New York,” the poet said.
The decision to host the One-Man Show in the United States reflects Christian Maz’s dream of turning the show into a worldwide cultural event. He explained that America was chosen as a key step in making the Eswatini-born show one of the best in the world.
“For the fourth edition, we chose America because we are trying to travel globally with these shows until they become the greatest thing that has ever happened,” Christian Maz explained.
Work for the big event is already starting, with promotional activities expected to begin mid-year. Emphasising that this fourth edition will be much bigger than the ones before, the artist invited partners and businesses to help support the project.
“Activations will begin mid-year. We are doing this one bigger and better. Sponsorships would also be highly appreciated,” he noted, highlighting the teamwork needed to represent Eswatini well in the West.
