MTSAMBAMA— What was once a fragile structure of stones, mud and timber has been replaced with a strong, modern double-storey house, a transformation that has changed the life of Mlulami Dlamini and his family forever.
The new home was officially opened today by Deputy Prime Minister Thulisile Dladla, marking a powerful moment of restoration and renewed hope for the Dlamini household.
From Uncertainty to Security
Just a short distance from the newly built house still stands the old structure, a small, weathered building patched together with stones and wooden poles. It told a silent story of endurance. During heavy rains, water would find its way inside. Strong winds tested its strength. Each season brought anxiety.
Today, that chapter closed.
The new home, painted in soft grey tones with secure doors, proper windows and an upstairs balcony, stands as a symbol of stability. It offers safety, privacy and comfort, essentials every family deserves.
An Emotional Handover
The handover ceremony was filled with heartfelt emotion. Community members gathered to witness the life-changing moment. When Mlulami Dlamini embraced the Deputy Prime Minister, his smile said more than words ever could.
Overcome with gratitude, he thanked government and all those involved for restoring dignity to his family.
“This house means everything to me,” he shared.
