MANZINI– Students at Manzini Central High School were recognised today for their outstanding performance in the 2025 Form 5 examinations during a special awards ceremony held at the school.
The event, attended by students, teachers, parents, and guardians, celebrated the achievements of 26 high-performing learners who demonstrated dedication and academic excellence throughout the year.
Students who achieved six or more credits received E700 each, while those who earned an A* grade in any subject were awarded an additional E1 000. The initiative aims not only to reward exceptional performance but also to provide support for students, particularly orphans and vulnerable children (OVCs), in preparing for tertiary education applications.
Principal Celucolo Dino Dlamini praised the students for their commitment, noting that the awards are part of a broader effort to encourage academic excellence while easing the financial burden associated with higher education. “Many of our students face challenges at home, and this support ensures they can take the next step in their education without added stress,” he said. “We hope these awards inspire all our learners to work hard and reach their full potential.”
The ceremony also offered a platform for parents and guardians to engage with the school and witness the fruits of their children’s hard work. Teachers highlighted the importance of continued guidance and mentorship, ensuring that students remain motivated and focused on their goals.
For many learners, the recognition was more than just a financial reward, it was an affirmation of their dedication, resilience, and determination. The school hopes that by publicly celebrating academic success, it will encourage all learners to strive for excellence, while fostering a culture of achievement that will continue in the years to come.
The awards programme, now in its third year, has become a key part of Manzini Central High School’s efforts to nurture future leaders and equip students with the tools they need to succeed in tertiary education and beyond.
