MBABANE – Eswatini Air has announced strict requirements to be enforced to those using the airline for travel.
Among the immigration requirements to be enforced by the local airline pertains to passports.
According to a communique by Eswatini Air, passengers with damaged, tempered or stained passports shall not be permitted to travel.
“An airline found to be transporting such passengers will be liable to a fine of E15 000,” reads the statement.
Further, passports are to be valid for six months and contain three clean pages, two clean visa pages and the last page which is not counted as a visa page.
“If a child (under 18 years) is traveling with a relative, not the parent, an affidavit from the parent(s) together with the child’s unabridged birth certificate copy and parent(s) ID copies must be provided.”
For unaccompanied minors, they must have an affidavit, unabridged birth certificate copy, parent(s) ID copies, and UM Form.
IMMIGRATION REQUIREMENTS
01. DAMAGED PASSPORTS
Passengers with damaged passports shall not be permitted to travel (tempered, stained etc).
An airline found transporting such passengers will be liable to a fine of E15,000.
02. CHILDREN UNDER 18 YEARS
If the child is traveling with a relative, not the parent:
Affidavit from the parent(s) together with the child’s unabridged birth certificate copy and parent(s) ID copies must be provided.
03. PASSPORT VALIDITY
Passports must be valid for six (6) months.
Passports must contain three (3) clean pages, two (2) clean visa pages and the last page which is not counted as a visa page.
04. UNACCOMPANIED MINOR
Affidavit, unabridged birth certificate copy, parent(s) ID copies, and UM Form.
(Please advise passengers to bring with them all the listed documents for check in even if they have emailed the documents)
All copies must be certified.
