MANZINI – Exhibitors preparing for the 58th Eswatini International Trade Fair (EITF) will face tighter access and space management measures this year, with organisers introducing a structured digital system for exhibitor tags and stand allocation.
The measures are aimed at improving identification of frontline exhibition staff, managing access to the exhibition area and ensuring that exhibitors operate within their allocated spaces throughout the trade fair. Under the new arrangements, exhibitors are required to apply for their tags through the EITF App or the application link already shared with participants. The accreditation application deadline has been set for August 17, 2026.
The number of tags allocated to exhibitors will depend on the size of their stands. Exhibitors occupying 9-square-metre stands will receive two tags, while those with 18-square-metre stands will receive four. The allocation increases progressively, with 27-square-metre stands receiving six tags, 36-square-metre stands receiving eight, 54-square-metre stands receiving 12, 72-square-metre stands receiving 16 and 108-square-metre stands receiving 24 tags.
Pavilion exhibitors will receive a maximum allocation of 36 tags. Exhibitors requiring additional tags will be allowed to apply through the EITF App or link at a cost of E80 per extra tag. The tags are intended primarily for the identification of frontline staff working at the exhibition and are separate from the general public’s access to the event. Tag collection will take place from August 18 to 27 at the Mavuso Trade and Exhibition Centre (MTEC) Business Centre, giving exhibitors an opportunity to complete accreditation before the trade fair begins.
Exhibitors have also been reminded that the EITF reserves the right to revise the floor plan and locations of stands. The updated floor plans will be made available through the EITF App from August 14. Once allocated, exhibitors are expected to maintain their designated spaces for the duration of the trade fair.
The access arrangements also distinguish between the exhibition and entertainment components of the event. Entry into the exhibition area will remain free, while entertainment activities will require paid entry. The measures come as preparations intensify for the 58th EITF, scheduled for August 28 to September 6, 2026.
With hundreds of exhibitors expected to participate, the accreditation and space management measures are intended to give organisers greater control over who operates within the exhibition area while helping exhibitors prepare for the ten-day event. The digital application process also places responsibility on exhibitors to complete their accreditation within the stipulated timeframe and secure the correct number of tags before the trade fair opens.
