EMVEMBILI – A new skills development initiative is set to transform lives in the Northern Hhohho community as the Emvembili Industrial Training Centre prepares to open its doors, offering practical training aimed at equipping community members with skills for employment, entrepreneurship and self-reliance.
The centre, which is opening soon, will offer training in agriculture, sewing and fashion design, electrical wiring and entrepreneurship, creating opportunities for residents to acquire practical skills that can contribute to household incomes and local economic development.
The agriculture programme will focus on modern techniques for sustainable food production, while sewing and fashion design will equip trainees with creative garment-making, design and fashion entrepreneurship skills.
The centre will also provide practical training in electrical wiring, including installation and maintenance, alongside entrepreneurship training covering business skills, innovation and self-reliance.
Indvuna yenkhundla Mandla Magagula welcomed the establishment of the training centre, saying initiatives of this nature are important in creating opportunities for people, particularly young people, to acquire practical skills that can help them become self-reliant.
“The Emvembili Industrial Training Centre is an important opportunity for our community because it will give people practical skills that can open doors to employment and entrepreneurship. We encourage community members to take advantage of the training and use the skills they gain to build sustainable livelihoods,” said Magagula.
The centre is being positioned as a centre of excellence that seeks to strengthen skills development while contributing to the transformation of communities.
