MBABANE – The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation of Eswatini has issued a travel and security advisory for Eswatini citizens residing in or visiting the Gulf region, reflecting the government’s proactive approach to safeguarding its people abroad.

The advisory encourages citizens to exercise caution, stay informed through official sources, and follow local safety guidelines, reinforcing the commitment of the ministry to protect and support Eswatini nationals overseas.

In a positive move, the advisory provides clear and practical guidance, including the importance of confirming flight status with airlines, being aware of temporary airspace closures, and limiting unnecessary travel where possible. By offering these actionable steps, the ministry empowers citizens to make informed decisions while travelling or living abroad.

The advisory also highlights the availability of Eswatini diplomatic missions in the Gulf region, including Kuwait, the United Arab Emirates, Qatar, and Saudi Arabia. Each mission has designated officials with contact information readily available, ensuring citizens can access timely support when needed.
