MBABANE – The Leadership Growth Forum (LGF) will host an exclusive leadership development session, featuring acclaimed business leader and author Nonkululeko Gobodo, in a bid to strengthen leadership capacity in Eswatini.
The event, themed “Mastering Leadership: Grit & Resilience”, will be held on Friday, September 19, 2025, at 5:30 PM at the Mountain View Hotel in Mbabane. It is aimed at middle and senior-level leaders as well as aspiring professionals.
Gobodo, who made history as South Africa’s first Black female Chartered Accountant in 1987, will headline the session with a keynote address drawn from her book Awakened… to My True Self. Her presentation will explore how grit and resilience can transform leadership approaches, strengthen teams, and promote sustainable success.
The programme will also feature a fireside chat and an interactive Q&A session, giving attendees a chance to engage directly with the seasoned leader. The evening will close with a book signing and photo opportunity.
Gobodo is the founder and CEO of AWAKENED Global, a social initiative tackling gender and racial inequality. She is also the former chairperson and co-founder of SizweNtsalubaGobodo, now SNG Grant Thornton, South Africa’s largest Black-owned auditing firm.
LGF Media and Public Liaison Officer Phiwe Dlamini said the event comes at a critical time when leaders need more than technical expertise.
“In today’s complex world, grit and resilience are not optional; they are essential. This event provides a rare opportunity to learn from an accomplished leader and gain practical insights to navigate challenges with confidence,” Dlamini said.
