MBABANE– Government through the Ministry of Education and Training has issued an urgent public notice calling on all emaSwati currently studying in, or preparing to study in, Mainland China to immediately register their details with the ministry.
The exercise, announced of Friday 3, 2026 by the Office of the Principal Secretary, is aimed at compiling an updated database of Eswatini students in China to strengthen communication and ensure the government has accurate records of its citizens pursuing higher education abroad.
Students and their relatives have been urged to report to the Ministry of Education and Training without delay by submitting the required documents. These include copies of identity documents or passports, as well as admission or acceptance letters from the institutions where they are currently enrolled or intend to study.
The ministry said those able to visit its offices should submit their documents to the Personal Assistant to the Principal Secretary at Office No. 16 on the ground floor of the Ministry of Education and Training headquarters in Mbabane.
For those unable to submit physical copies, the ministry has provided an electronic option, directing applicants to email the required documents to info_moet@gov.sz.
The move is expected to help government maintain an up-to-date record of Eswatini nationals studying in Mainland China, enabling authorities to communicate important information efficiently and provide appropriate assistance whenever necessary.
The Ministry of Education and Training encouraged all affected students and their families to respond promptly to the notice to ensure they are included in the official register
