MBABANE – The Government of Eswatini has taken another step towards strengthening the country’s education sector by inviting qualified Early Childhood Care and Development Education (ECCDE) teachers to verify their qualifications as part of the recruitment process.
In a public notice issued by the Teaching Service Commission (TSC), holders of ECCDE teaching certificates obtained in 2018 have been requested to report to the Ministry of Education and Training offices at the TSC offices on the fourth floor of the Ministry’s headquarters in Mbabane.
The exercise will run from June 29 to July 2, 2026, and requires applicants to present both their teaching certificates and academic qualification certificates. Candidates must first have their academic certificates verified by the Eswatini Qualifications Authority (EQA), located on the basement floor of the Ministry headquarters, before proceeding to the TSC offices for verification of their teaching qualifications.
The verification exercise signals Government’s commitment to ensuring that qualified teachers are ready for possible employment opportunities while maintaining high professional standards in the education sector.
By verifying qualifications, the TSC aims to ensure that only suitably qualified candidates are considered for future teaching appointments, particularly in the ECCDE programme, which plays a critical role in laying the foundation for children’s education.
The move is expected to boost confidence among qualified teachers seeking employment and reflects Government’s continued investment in expanding access to quality early childhood education across the country.
The TSC has urged all eligible certificate holders to attend the verification exercise within the stipulated dates and to bring all the required documentation to avoid delays in the recruitment process.
