MANZINI– Celebrated gospel minister Jabu Hlongwane delivered a spirit-filled performance at the MOAG Gospel Show and meaningful conversations during the workshop that was held earlier that day, captivating worshippers and Musicians during the event’s decade celebration at Mavuso Trade Centre.
The Mother of All Gospel Shows (MOAGS) continued on the 9th of May as renowned South African gospel minister Jabu Hlongwane graced the stage with a powerful worship session that left the audience inspired and uplifted.
Held at the Mavuso Trade Centre in Manzini, the gospel gathering attracted worshippers, gospel music lovers and artists from Eswatini and neighbouring South Africa. This year’s edition marked a major milestone for the event as MOAGS celebrated 10 years under the slogan “Decade Celebration”.
Beyond the musical performances, knowledge met anointing at the opening of the event as gospel artists traded stage lights for industry wisdom during a powerful workshop aimed at sharpening their craft, competing on bigger platforms and maintaining professionalism in music.
The Eswatini Copyright and Neighbouring Rights Society also formed part of the discussions as respected industry voices including Nduduzo Matse, Dumisani Motsamai, Mmeli Hlandze and Jabu Hlongwane shared valuable insights with artists. The session became a masterclass on building sustainable careers beyond the microphone while encouraging musicians to understand the business side of the industry.
Hlongwane later carried that same inspiration onto the main stage where he delivered energetic worship songs that had the audience singing along throughout his performance. Worshippers responded with excitement, waving hands in praise while others captured the memorable moments on their mobile phones.
MOAGS visionary Nduduzo Matse also addressed the audience during the celebrations, expressing gratitude to supporters, sponsors and worshippers who have contributed to the growth of the show over the past decade. He highlighted the importance of creating platforms that uplift gospel music while empowering upcoming artists.
This year’s edition featured a strong line-up of local and international gospel artists, further cementing MOAGS’ reputation as one of Eswatini’s leading gospel music experiences. The event blended worship, entertainment and education, making the “Decade Celebration” a memorable experience for both artists and attendees alike.
