LOBAMBA – His Majesty King Mswati III has commended workers across Eswatini, particularly teachers, nurses and other essential service providers, for their dedication and selflessness in serving the nation.
Speaking during the 40/58 double celebrations held on Friday, April 24, 2026, at the Somhlolo National Stadium, the King acknowledged the critical role played by workers in driving the country’s development.
His Majesty noted that it was through the commitment of these workers that essential services continue to reach the people, describing them as the backbone of national progress.
“The workers of this country are the ones who provide the services we need the most for development,” he said.
The King highlighted that many workers had, over the years, demonstrated remarkable sacrifice by placing the needs of the nation above their own personal interests. He said such dedication had ensured that Emaswati continue to receive quality services, even under challenging circumstances.
In particular, he praised teachers for their role in shaping future generations and nurses for their unwavering commitment to safeguarding the health and wellbeing of the nation.
His Majesty further extended his appreciation to leaders across various sectors of society, acknowledging their collective contribution towards the growth and development of Eswatini.
He encouraged both workers and leaders to maintain the same spirit of dedication and unity, emphasising that continued commitment would enable the country to achieve its long-term development goals.
The King concluded by urging all citizens to remain focused, hardworking and united in their efforts to build a stronger and more prosperous Eswatini.
