MBABANE – The Ministry of Labour and Social Security has announced the appointment of Kingdom Mamba as Eswatini’s new Labour Commissioner, a move widely welcomed as a boost to the country’s labour administration and industrial relations framework.
Mamba steps into the role with a solid record in labour governance, underpinned by extensive experience in labour administration and a strong grasp of industrial relations. Known for his principled leadership and solutions-driven approach, he is expected to play a pivotal role in strengthening compliance, promoting social dialogue, and advancing fair and productive workplaces across the country.
The Ministry said the appointment reflects its continued commitment to reinforcing labour governance, promoting decent work, and ensuring the effective implementation of labour laws and policies. As Labour Commissioner, Mamba will be central to safeguarding workers’ rights, supporting employers to comply with regulations, and fostering harmonious employer–employee relations in line with national development goals.
Observers note that his leadership comes at a strategic time, as Eswatini continues to modernise its labour systems and align them with regional and international best practices. His deep understanding of policy implementation and stakeholder engagement is expected to enhance service delivery and public confidence in labour institutions.
