MBABANE- Mbabane Swallows FC has unveiled a special pink kit ahead of upcoming fixtures as part of a campaign that celebrates supporter appreciation, inclusivity in football, and breast cancer awareness in Eswatini.

The launch, announced by the club, positions the kit as more than sporting attire, but as a message of unity and social responsibility aimed at strengthening the relationship between the club and its supporters. According to the club, the initiative will be integrated into their football activities, with the pink kit serving as a reminder of appreciation to fans who have consistently supported the team through difficult and successful moments.

Speaking on the initiative, the club described the pink kit as a tribute to its supporters.“Beautiful Birds, this kit belongs to you. It represents our shared love, our inclusive community, and a commitment to making a difference far beyond the 90 minutes of the game,” the club said.

The club further explained that the colour pink was chosen to express gratitude, particularly towards supporters who continue to create a strong match-day atmosphere, with special recognition given to lady supporters for their loyalty and energy in the stands.

“This is a love letter to our Swallows family. Through every challenge, our supporters never wavered, and this colour is a symbol of our appreciation and bond with them,” the club added.

Beyond football, the initiative also carries a health message, with pink widely recognised as a symbol of breast cancer awareness. The club says it aims to use its platform to encourage conversations around early detection, education, and support for survivors and fighters of the disease. Mbabane Swallows has also expressed willingness to collaborate with health organisations, NGOs, and advocacy groups to strengthen awareness campaigns and community outreach programmes focused on breast cancer.

The club further emphasised inclusivity within its supporter base, noting that football remains a shared space for all. “We are proud of our diverse family. This is a celebration of inclusivity, and a reminder that Mbabane Swallows FC is a home for everyone,” the club said.

The pink kit initiative reflects the growing role of football in driving social impact, using sport as a platform to promote unity, health awareness, and community development beyond the pitch.
