The meeting was organised by the Mankayane Town Board to showcase ongoing and proposed development projects while seeking guidance from government leadership.

Among the key projects presented was the proposed Industrial Site and Township development, which will feature 81 serviced plots measuring approximately 5 000 square metres each, with flexibility for future expansion.
The project is expected to play a significant role in boosting economic activity, attracting investment and creating employment opportunities for the Mankayane community.

Plans for civic centre and service delivery

Officials noted that such an integrated approach would improve accessibility and efficiency, particularly for communities in and around Mankayane.
Sports infrastructure development underway
Another key highlight was the Mankayane Sports Ground development, which is currently in Phase One. The project is expected to promote sports development, youth engagement and community wellness.
Minister Nzima emphasised the importance of investing in sports infrastructure as a means of nurturing talent and fostering social cohesion.
Site visits showcase progress
