MBABANE – The Montigny Sigangeni Football League is set for an exciting grand closing this Saturday, with football fans expected to gather in large numbers at Ntsetse Sports Ground for a full day of action-packed fixtures.
The tournament, which carries a prize purse of E50 000, has attracted growing attention within local football circles for its role in promoting community sport and nurturing young talent. Organisers say the event is not only about competition, but also about strengthening community ties through football.
The day will begin with the Under-15 encounter between Real Touch and Mhlane United at 9:30am. The youth action will continue at 10:30am when Ngcayini Birds face Total XI in the Under-17 category.
Senior teams will then take centre stage in the afternoon fixtures. Total XI will battle Mhlambanyatsi at midday in what is expected to be one of the most competitive matches of the day. Later, Mhlane United will take on Ntsetse Flyers at 2:00pm to conclude the programme.
The Montigny Sigangeni Football League has become an important platform for developing grassroots football while also providing entertainment for supporters in the area. Community members, football lovers and local stakeholders are expected to attend the event to support their respective teams.
