- Organisers say event continues creating opportunities for small businesses

MANZINI – Philani Maswati Charity Organisation has appealed for more corporate sponsors and financial institutions to support the upcoming Embiveni Biggest Braai Agape 10th Anniversary celebrations, describing the event as an important platform for promoting small businesses and community development.
The call was made by the organisation’s Chairman, Lutfo Dlamini, during a sponsorship handover ceremony held at Pizza Club in Manzini on Monday, June 15, 2026.
The organisation received sponsorships from Grifting, a charcoal-producing company, and Ekhaya Farms, which specialises in food production and cooking-related products.
Dlamini commended the two companies for supporting the event and recognising its role in creating economic opportunities for local entrepreneurs.
Supporting Small Businesses
According to Dlamini, one of the biggest successes of the Embiveni Biggest Braai over the years has been its ability to create a thriving marketplace for small business owners.
He said many entrepreneurs who participate in the event often sell out their products before the festivities conclude.
“Small businesses benefit greatly from this event. In many cases, vendors do not go home with the products they brought because everything gets sold,” said Dlamini.
He added that some traders have even expressed regret at bringing limited stock because demand from customers exceeded their expectations.
The chairman noted that such outcomes demonstrate the positive economic impact the event continues to have on local businesses.
Call For More Corporate Support
Dlamini encouraged banks, financial institutions and other corporate entities to partner with initiatives that directly benefit entrepreneurs and communities.
He said access to sponsorship and financial support could help small businesses expand production, create jobs and contribute more effectively to the country’s economy.
According to Dlamini, supporting events such as the Embiveni Biggest Braai ultimately strengthens local enterprise development and promotes economic empowerment.
“We would like to see more institutions coming on board because when small businesses grow, communities also benefit,” he said.
Celebrating a Decade Of Impact
This year’s event will mark the 10th anniversary of the Embiveni Biggest Braai, which organisers have branded as the Agape 10th Anniversary celebration.
Dlamini described the milestone as a testament to the event’s growth and its continued relevance within the community.
Over the years, the gathering has evolved into one of the most anticipated community events, attracting families, entrepreneurs, entertainers and supporters from different parts of the country.

The Philani Maswati Charity Organisation has also invited members of the public to attend this year’s celebration.
Dlamini said the Agape 10th Anniversary would focus on promoting love, unity and community spirit while continuing to provide opportunities for businesses and charitable initiatives.
