MALKERNS – As excitement builds for the 19th edition of MTN Bushfire, the festival has officially launched the Bring Your Fire Zone Advocacy Space Giveaway, calling on emaSwati to nominate community heroes whose everyday work is changing lives across the country.
Taking place from 29–31 May 2026 at House On Fire in Malkerns, the globally celebrated festival continues to prove that it is far more than a music and arts gathering. Through its long-standing Bring Your Fire mandate, MTN Bushfire uses its international platform to champion social impact, environmental responsibility, and community advocacy.
This year, the festival is raising the bar by offering grassroots organisations, activists, social entrepreneurs, and community builders a rare opportunity to showcase their work to thousands of local and international visitors during the festival weekend.
“Bring Your Fire has always been about turning the festival into a platform for positive change. This initiative ensures that the incredible work being done in communities across Eswatini is seen, supported, and celebrated on a global stage,” organisers said.
Successful nominees will benefit from a powerful visibility and networking package designed to open doors long after the festival ends. The selected changemakers will receive a free activation space inside the vibrant Bring Your Fire Zone, six trader passes for their team, prime visibility on the festival’s LED screens throughout the weekend, and exclusive networking opportunities with like-minded organisations.
In addition, their work will be profiled across MTN Bushfire’s digital platforms, reaching thousands of followers worldwide and positioning their initiatives for future partnerships, funding prospects, and public support.
EmaSwati are encouraged to take part by nominating individuals or organisations working in environmental conservation, youth empowerment, arts advocacy, and social welfare.
Nominations can be made by tagging the nominee on MTN Bushfire’s official social media announcement with a brief description of their work, or by sending a detailed profile and relevant links to byfconsultant@bush-fire.com with the subject line: “Bring Your Fire Zone Advocacy Space Nomination.”
The deadline for all nominations is Tuesday, 19 May 2026.
As the countdown to the festival begins, MTN Bushfire is once again demonstrating that beyond the music and celebration, it remains a powerful force for unity, hope, and positive change in Eswatini.
