POLICE TRANSFERS STRENGTHEN NATIONAL SERVICE DELIVERY

MBABANE – The Royal Eswatini Police Service (REPS) has implemented a wide-ranging transfer and redeployment exercise aimed at strengthening leadership, improving operational efficiency, and enhancing service delivery across the country.

Among the notable appointments is the posting of Sifiso “Nuro” Ntibane as the new Mbabane Police Station Commander. Ntibane takes over command of one of the country’s busiest police stations, bringing with him extensive experience in policing operations, crime prevention, and station-level leadership. His appointment reflects REPS’ continued commitment to placing seasoned officers in strategic positions where their expertise can make the greatest impact.

The outgoing Mbabane Station Commander, Senior Superintendent Sabelo Dlamini, has been redeployed to the Shiselweni Regional Headquarters as the Regional Operations Officer. His move is expected to further strengthen policing coordination and operational oversight in the region.

In total, 49 officers, including inspectors, sergeants, and constables, have been transferred to various departments and police stations across Eswatini. The redeployments cover key areas such as general duties, traffic, criminal investigations, communications, finance, welfare, training, and stand-down duties.

According to REPS, the transfers form part of a routine end-of-year redeployment programme designed to enhance leadership capacity, promote professional growth, and ensure effective policing at both station and regional levels.
